RYLA stands for "Rotary Youth Leadership Award" and is one of the greatest innovations of Rotary.
Participants, who attend a week's camp tend, to be from senior years of Secondary school and are chosen because we believe their confidence and self-belief will benefit from the 5 days of training. This covers:
- Leadership fundamentals and ethics
- Communication skills
- Problem solving and conflict management
- Community and global citizenship
Each year, we choose two students who each spend 5 days at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre. Our picture shows our two latest RYLA Students Anthony Reilly and Zain Bashir about to give a Presentation of their week spent at the Auchengillan Camp.
